Rubbing the husks from corn on the sabbath. Christ and David. Healing the man on the Sabbath. Sermon on the Mount. Be ye therefore perfect. Salt of the earth.
I always remember learning a big distinction between Christ’s two experiences of throwing out the money exchangers was the possession use in the scriptures quoted differing in each instance. The first occurrence he tells those he is casting out that they “make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise”, with emphasis on it being his Father’s house. The 2nd time he is there saying “My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” With again, emphasis on the notion that he now refers to it as His house.
As always, fantastic work from the both of you. Thanks for helping add to my weekly study.
